Stelton was founded in 1960 with the aim of producing stainless steel tableware with a common design theme which would ensure a harmonious table setting regardless of which pieces were used. One of Stelton's first collections was the popular Cylinda-Line created by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen which was launched in 1967 and attracted considerable attention securing Stelton a place in both Danish and international markets.
Futher collaborations in 1971 with Erik Magussen resulted in the creation of the stainless steel vacuum flask which has become a design classic and has been exhibited in a number of design museums worldwide.
Today the company's vision to create innovative, functional and well designed products is still very much evident. Working in collaboration with over 20 designers Stelton now has some five product ranges which are regularly added to and updated.
