Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. You will then be taken to the order summary page where you can: go back to the website product pages by clicking on the CONTINUE tab; or proceed to the checkout by clicking CHECKOUT. If you wish to remove any items from your shopping basket simply tick the box next to the item then click on the UPDATE tab.

At the checkout you will be asked to complete invoice and delivery details before being transferred to PROTX, the largest independant UK secure online payment service provider which is fully approved by all major UK acquiring banks. Here your payment card details will be taken and cardholder validation checks carried out, using all the latest fruad prevention methods (for further details please go to our "payment security" page or visit www.protx.com). We do not store or process credit card details on our website. All major credit and debit cards are accepted including: Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Switch, Maestro and Solo. We do not debit for an order until it is ready to be despatched.

If you wish to pay by cheque please choose this option at the checkout; print off your order summary and forward it with a cheque for the required amount made payable to BETH STEVENS LTD. Goods will be despatched once your cheque has cleared.

Fast Delivery

We aim to despatch all orders within 24 hours of receipt. In the event that an item becomes out of stock once you have placed your order we will email or phone with an estimated delivery date and the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait until new stock arrives. Similarly, if your order is likely to be delayed for any reason, we will of course contact you. We do not substitute other goods if the items you require are not available.

UK STANDARD DELIVERY (USING ROYAL MAIL FIRST CLASS POST OR PARCELFORCE 48 or 24) £4.95 - FREE FOR ALL ORDERS OVER £50.00

We believe it is important for you to get your order as quickly as possible. Therefore unlike many companies our UK Standard Delivery option is despatched via Royal Mail First Class Post (signed for) or Parcel Force 48 or 24 for larger items. This means that you should generally receive your items 1-2 days from ordering. However, if you order on Friday or over the weekend your order may take a little longer. Also during the build up to Christmas items may take longer to arrive. The cost of this Standard UK Delivery Service is £4.95 or FREE for all orders over £50.00. (Please note that delivery to the Channel Islands and some outlying parts of the UK may also take a bit longer - simply phone +44(0)1329 822 212 or email info@bethstevens.co.uk for an estimated delivery date if you need your order urgently.)

Guaranteed UK Next WORKING Day Delivery Before 1pm - If it is essential for you to get your purchase before 1pm the next working day after ordering we are able to achieve this providing the items are ordered before 2pm (Mon to Thur only). The charge for this enhanced service is £7.50. (Again, unfortunately this delivery option may not be available to the Channel Islands or some outlying areas of the UK. No Quibble Returns

We always try to ensure that our products are good quality and value for money. If however your purchase does not meet your expectations in any way simply return the item to us unused and in its original condition within 30 days of receipt. We will then either exchange it or give you a full refund (including delivery costs) - whatever your preference. Please note that this returns guarantee does not affect your statutory rights for returned goods under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

We recommend that you send items under 2Kg by Royal Mail "recorded signed for" (this should be an additional 72p on the normal postage cost) or obtain a receipt of posting. Please do not use the Royal Mail Special Delivery service. For heavier or valuable items please ring our orderline on 01329 822 212 or email us at info@bethstevens.co.uk and we will arrange for collection by our courier.

Refunds

On receipt of your returned items, we will make a refund to the value of the goods and your original delivery charge. We do not normally refund the cost of your return postage unless the goods were supplied to you faulty or incorrectly due to an error on our part.

We can only make refunds to the original payament card charged or by cheque if the original purchase was made by personal cheque. We aim to action all refunds within 1 working day from receipt of the returned goods. Once your refund has been processed we will of course let you know via email.

Please note that this refund policy does not affect your statutory rights for returned goods under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

Your right to cancel

Under the EU Distance Selling Directive you have a statuatory right to cancel your contract any time up to 7 days from the day after you receive your order. Simply phone our orderline on +44(0)1329 822 212 or email us at info@bethstevens.co.uk with details. If you cancel your contract once your order has already been delivered you will be responsible for returning the goods to BETH STEVENS LTD at you own cost.

You need to take reasonable care to ensure that the goods are not damaged in the meanwhile or in transit. For your piece of mind, we strongly recommend that you return any items by registered mail or obtain a receipt of posting and have sufficient insurance cover. This is particularly important when returning valuable products as we cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail.

However we reserve the right to withdraw any products at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this Website whether or not that product has been sold; removing or editing any materials or content on the Website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

Order acceptance

To be eligible to purchase products on this Website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this Website under English law you must:

· Provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information

· Be over 18 years of age

· Stipulate a delivery address in the United Kingdom. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable

· Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us

Contract creation

When you have placed an order for products on the website, you will send you an order acknowledgment email detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or acceptance of your order from BETH STEVENS LTD; it does not indicate that a contract exists between you and BETH STEVENS LTD. We cannot confirm the price of a Product until your order is accepted. When your order is despatched from our warehouse we will send you a despatch confirmation email. Order acceptance and completion of the contract between you and BETH STEVENS LTD will take place only on despatch of the products ordered, unless we have previously notified you that we are unable to accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions in Change or Cancel an order. Non acceeptance of your order may be due to:

· Non-availability of the item ordered

· Inability to obtain authorisation for your payment

· Identification of a pricing or product description error

Pricing and VAT

All prices are given in British Pounds (£) and are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rate of 17.5% and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the Website.
